B.A. American Sign Language Interpreting Minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders
Ms. Madison Gates
Madison Gates graduated from the University of Houston with a B.A in American Sign Language Interpreting in May 2023. During her senior year, she completed a 200+ hour internship which allowed her to interpret in a variety of settings such as K-12 grade levels, theatrical environments, etc.
She worked with GLOBO Language Solutions as an Instructional Signing Aide/Communications Facilitator in K-12 settings. Originally from Castroville Texas, she moved out to Boerne as she was excited to engage in a new community, and begin her teaching career in a wonderful district.
The 2024-2025 school year will be her second year of teaching.
Ms. Gates is ready to inspire her students and have them become "communication bridges" between the hearing and Deaf worlds. Currently, she teaches ASL 1 through 3 on-level at Champion High School.
