8th Grade AMERICAN HISTORY OR HONORS AMERICAN HISTORY

American History is the study of the United States from the early colonial period to
Reconstruction (1877) and the political, social, and economic events that shaped the present
country. The course includes the development of the government of the United States, the
Constitution, and citizenship. Students use primary and secondary sources to acquire
information about the U.S.
