7th Grade TEXAS HISTORY OR HONORS TEXAS HISTORY

Texas History is the study of the history of Texas from prehistory to the present. Historical
content is integrated with the study of geography, economics, government, citizenship,
culture, science, technology, and society, as well as social studies skills. Students use primary
and secondary sources to acquire information about Texas. Honors students achieve a greater
depth of understanding through thoughtful discussion and reading and an emphasis on
writing and analytical skills.
