Mr. Tristan is a musician and educator originally from Victoria, Texas. He is entering his 3rd year as an assistant band director at both Voss Middle School and Champion High School. Tristan graduated from Texas State University-San Marcos in 2021 with his bachelor's in Music Education where he studied with Dr. Keith Winking. Upon his arrival to Voss, Mr. Tristan has made himself right at home by actively involving himself in the Boerne community by performing with the Boerne Big Band, Boerne Concert Band, and Boerne Village Band. 

Mr. Tristan has experience playing in a number of ensemble settings. His concert ensemble experiences include chamber ensembles, trumpet ensembles, the Texas State Trumpet Studio and performances with the Texas State Concert band. His Jazz ensemble experiences include brass bands, the Victoria College Jazz Combo, the Crossroads Community Big Band, The Texas State Jazz Ensemble, and the Texas Community College All State Jazz Band. Tristan has attended and performed at TMEA multiple times during his collegiate career. He has also attended and performed at multiple jazz festivals, including the Kingsville Jazz Festival, Hill Country Jazz Festival, Texas Jazz Festival, and the Notre Dame Jazz Festival. Tivo has shared the stage with artists such as Joel Frahm, Jim Mcneely, and many others. He has experience with marching band as he was a member of the Texas State Bobcat Marching Band for 3 years (serving as a Trumpet section leader in 2019).

In his free time, Tivo enjoys working out, traveling, spending quality time with his family and friends, and rooting for his favorite sports teams.
