Mrs. Jenifer Smith

Jenifer Smith began teaching in 1995 in Colton, California after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from California State University, San Bernardino. She taught in Colton for 10 years in grades kindergarten, second and third. After earning her Master of Arts degree in Education with a Reading emphasis, also from CSUSB, Mrs. Smith participated in the district Balanced Literacy training, district sponsored Reading Recovery program and functioned as the campus Literacy Leader. In 2005, Mrs. Smith joined Boerne ISD as a third grade teacher. She has taught first, third and fourth grade at Fabra Elementary. Mrs. Smith taught Reading/Language Arts and Social Studies teacher on the fourth grade team. She is now teaching 6th grade Social Studies at Voss Middle School. She encourages her students and coworkers to read, learn and grow. 

Mrs. Smith and her husband, Mike, moved to Boerne in 2005. They are the proud parents of two sons, Ryan and Connor. Ryan is 28 and graduated from Boerne High School in 2015. He is enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard and is trained as a Technical Engineer. He also works as an HVAC Technician at a server room facility. Connor is 24 and graduated from Boerne High School in 2019. He is a senior at University of Texas at San Antonio with a major in Mechanical Engineering. He is planning to commission into the Coast Guard after graduation.
