Mission Statement
At Capt. Mark T. Voss Middle School, we believe that all students should be given the tools and support necessary to be successful and SOAR! Our campus mission statement, SOAR, is an acronym that stands for four tenants of a Voss Eagle: Service, Ownership, Achievement, and Resilience.
Service is recognized on our campus through the Captain's Club award and given to students by teachers who have exhibited above-and-beyond service to our campus community, including their peers, faculty, and staff. Ownership is modeled every day at Voss through our actions and decision-making skills. Students are held to a standard of ownership in and out of the classroom. Achievement is recognized through our 9-week awards as well as through our A-honor roll events like luncheons. Our counseling department recognizes resilience based on the growth students have shown in the face of challenges.
We believe that all students can SOAR and work to provide opportunities for students to learn, grow, and accomplish their goals.
