LIBRARY MISSION STATEMENT
The Voss Library Media Center fosters independent learners who are responsible users of ideas and information while providing equal access to digital, print, and electronic resources. Via collaboration, literacy, and effective information literacy strategies, the library seeks to create critical thinkers who contribute and connect with our community.
To accomplish our mission, Voss Library Media Center will:
- provide services that foster student success and enrich student learning.
- collaborate with faculty to develop critical thinking and information literacy skills that empower students to effectively find, use and evaluate information.
- provide reference and instructional services that enable students and faculty to effectively access and use information and technology.
- provide timely, accurate and individualized services and resources to help students and faculty meet academic goals.
LIBRARY POLICY:
Students can check out up to three books.
Books are due every 3 weeks and are stamped with a due date.
There is a fine of 5 cents per book per day for overdue books.

Mrs. April Brinson

Mrs. Brinson holds master's degrees in both Secondary Education and Educational Technology and Library Science. She has been a library media specialist since 2015, and she has previously worked as a teacher on both primary and secondary campuses. Mrs. Brinson loves working in Boerne ISD, and she has been with the district since 2012. Mrs. Brinson is passionate about promoting reading and technology skills, and she also enjoys teaching research and Future Ready skills.
Mrs. Brinson hopes to encourage a reading culture and strong digital literacy skills in the Voss community. She works with the KVMS broadcast team, sponsors a book club, and coordinates the Make and Innovate Club.
She and her husband, Sterling, have two sons, Lawson and Holden. During her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, swimming, and watching her kids play sports.
