Mrs. Atkins will be starting her 15th year in Education and this will be her fourth year to be a part of the Boerne school district. She will be serving her third year as the Instructional Coach for BMSS. Prior to the 2022-2023 school year Mrs. Atkins was at Voss Middle School where she taught 8th ELAR. Mrs. Atkins is from West Texas where she served as an ELAR/Social Studies teacher for 4th-8th grade students, but mostly taught ELAR. She has also served as an administrator for a handful of those years, but her passion mostly lies with working with students and teachers and helping them grow and be successful..
Mrs. Atkins graduated from Texas A&M University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with her teacher’s certification in 4-8 ELAR/Social Studies. She then completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Permian Basin in 2013 with her Principal’s certification in K-12.
Mrs. Atkins is married to her husband Ryan, and they have 2 boys, who are 7 and 4, and they keep her very busy. In her free time she enjoys being outside with her boys, spending time with her family, going on walks, reading, working out, and spending time by the water any chance she gets.
Mrs. Atkins is looking forward to this school year and getting to collaborate and work with teachers and students. She believes in building relationships, trust, hard work, and collaboration.
2024-2045 is going to be one of the best school years yet at BMSS!
