Marcus Fontenot

Coach Fontenot is in his fourth year at BISD. He coaches PE, Football, Basketball, and Track, and also serves as the Athletic Coordinator at South. Before joining us in Boerne, Coach Fontenot spent two years as an athletic coordinator and coach in San Antonio. Originally from San Diego, California, he played football at San Diego State University and later worked as a strength and conditioning coach at both the University of California - San Diego and Point Loma Nazarene University.

In addition to his athletic background, Coach Fontenot proudly served six years in the Army as an Infantry Sergeant, allowing him to travel across the country and around the world, including a 15-month combat deployment to Iraq. He is married to his wife of 14 years, and they have two young daughters. In his free time, Coach Fontenot enjoys playing Switch and board games with his family.
