Howdy Greyhounds!
I am entering my 18th year of teaching and coaching, and couldn’t be more excited to begin my 3rd year at Boerne High School! I grew up with my father being a high school tennis coach, so I’ve been around HS tennis my entire life. After high school, I played tennis at Hardin Simmons University for 2.5 years, then transferred and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2004 with a degree in Kinesiology - Sports Management. After teaching tennis at country clubs in Plano and Lubbock, I made the move to education and haven’t looked back. I was able to coach with my dad in Bryan, then became head coach in Groesbeck, Granbury, and most recently, Harlan HS in San Antonio. Having moved to Boerne in 2019, being at BHS made perfect sense and I love being closer to my family.
I am very involved in the Texas tennis community as a former President and current board member of the Texas Tennis Coaches Association. I have also served on USTA committees, and have had the honor of coaching 11 state qualifiers in various UIL classifications. I was honored to have coached my first State Champions in Boys Doubles in 2023, as well as the UIL Team Tennis State Finalists in Fall 2022.
In my free time, I enjoy watching sports (Gig 'Em Aggies!!), fishing, running, and spending time with my family.
My wife, Jana, and I have been married since 2007, and have two beautiful daughters, Elliott (11) and Charley (7).
