Amy Ruede

Amy Ruede is beginning her sixteenth year at Boerne High School and twenty-seventh year teaching and coaching.  She serves as the Head Girls Basketball Coach and Assistant Team Tennis Coach.  Coach Ruede teaches 11th Grade United States History and 12th Grade Government and Economics.  Prior to working in Boerne, she worked in Northeast ISD, at Reagan High School, at Dripping Springs High School and at Wells Middle School in Spring ISD.  She is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station. Coach Ruede began teaching because she enjoys sharing her love of history and sports with young people.  She wants to positively impact her students and help prepare them to be good citizens and contributing members of society, while striving to meet their personal goals.  Coach Ruede loves teaching at Boerne High School because she is constantly challenged by her students to improve her craft.  The students keep her on her toes and there is no room for complacency.  Their desire for knowledge and the competitive environment push Coach Ruede to be a better teacher and coach.
