Daniel H. Owen is the principal of Boerne Middle School North. Before being named principal of BMSN in 2019, he served as an assistant principal at BMSN for four years.

Mr. Owen holds a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from Texas State University and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University - Kingsville. He began his educational career at Pleasanton Junior High in 2009 as a special education teacher, science teacher, and coach. There, he held various leadership positions within the school and was named Distinguished Junior High Educator of the Year in 2012.

Building relationships, serving the community, and helping students are vital to his leadership role. As a parent of BISD students, an employee of BISD, and a community member, Mr. Owen also hopes to inspire students to become the best version of themselves. 

Mr. Owen lives in the Boerne community with his wife, Leigh, and his two young daughters, Isla and Georgia, who attend Fabra Elementary. He enjoys bird hunting, deer hunting, college football, and spending time outside.
