Mrs. Shay Lea Strain

Shay Lea Strain has spent the last 25+ year in education.  Throughout her years, she has experience in Kinder-6th grade classroom teaching, Physical Education, High School Coaching, online public education, Boerne ISD ELearning, and 11 years in administration.  Mrs. Strain LOVES being back in the classroom working hands-on with her students and hopes that in all that she does her students know she loves them, they learn the value of hard work and integrity, and leave her classroom feeling confident in themselves. 

Mrs. Strain graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) with her Bachelors Degree and later pursued her Masters Degree through University of Houston-Victoria.  

Shay Lea has three children, Trapper, Tyler and Tatum, and a stepson, Conner.  She and her husband, Chris Hoeppner, enjoy spending time with family and being outdoors.  Outside of school, Mrs. Strain enjoys coaching others to a healthier lifestyle, as well as bringing joy to others through her photography business with one of her best friends.  Making the world smile one child, one person, one family at a time!
