Crystal Cousert has been a part of Boerne ISD since 2018. She began her time as a clinical teacher and sub. She began teaching 2nd grade in 2019 and spent 2 years in 2nd, and this is her 3rd year as a Kindergarten teacher. She taught pre-K for 18 years before coming to Boerne ISD. Crystal earned her Bachelor of Science in education from Texas A&M San Antonio and is currently working to earn her masters in reading instruction and curriculum from Texas A&M-Whoop!. She holds a Gifted and Talented certificate as well as English as a Second Language. Crystal is a member of the Association of Texas Professional Educators and a mentor teacher this school year to a fellow Kendall teacher.

She and her husband of 14 years, Joseph, moved to Boerne in 2017, with their pup Rocky. Most Friday nights she can be seen at the high school football games and any of the parades or festivals.
