Coach Kristin Courtney

Coach Courtney is the new PE teacher at Kendall Elementary. She is originally from California and moved to Texas in 1993. She graduated from Clark High School in San Antonio and then attended Southwest Texas State University for 2 years, where she performed with the SWT Strutters dance team. She received her bachelor's of science degree in kinesiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Coach Courtney began teaching PE in Northside ISD in 2006 where she spent 17 years teaching elementary PE and 1 year teaching middle school PE and coaching volleyball, basketball, and track and field. She brings her love of adventure and sports and looks forward to sharing her passions with all students.

Coach Courtney has been married to her husband, Allen, for 15 years, and they have 2 children, Freddie and Ben. Both boys attend BISD schools, and they keep her busy with tennis and tae kwon do. When not busy with school and work, her family loves to fish, hunt, and explore the outdoors. In her free time, you can find her drinking coffee and watching Marvel movies with her family.
