Jessica Shults
My husband and I live in Center Point (near Comfort) and have a daughter, Kara, who will be a third-grader at Fair Oaks Ranch this year. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology and hold a Principal Certification. I am currently working on my Superintendent Certification through Lamar University. I have 15 years’ experience in Public Education; all at the Elementary level. As a teacher, I taught 1st and 3rd grade, was an ESL teacher, a Special Education collab teacher and taught students that were serviced through the Gifted and Talented program. I am starting my 7th year as an Elementary Campus Administrator. This is my 5th year in BISD and I’ve had the privilege to serve the past 4 years at the Assistant Principal at Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary.
You can find more information about the E-Learning Campus on the right. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Holly Grove
Dear E-learning Elementary Families,
I want to introduce myself; my name is Holly Grove and I will be your child’s counselor. I am extremely excited to embark on this new adventure of E-learning school with you and your student.
This is my 2nd year in Boerne ISD and my 22nd year as a school counselor. I will be honing my computer skills as I want to be available to you and your family during this unprecedented time in our world. I will be teaching Guidance Lessons in your child’s e-classroom and hopefully starting small counseling groups a few weeks into our start of this school year.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or need some help during this uncertain time.

Schedule
We will follow the BISD district calendar for our school days. Your child will follow a detailed schedule from 7:35-3:00 each day. All students will have a mixture of Synchronous and Asynchronous learning as defined in our BISD E-Learning Instructional Plan. Students will be expected to log in throughout the day during scheduled times. When students are not online, they will be working on independent work. If you have not reviewed the BISD plan in detail, I encourage you to do so. Please click here.

Home Campus Versus E-Learning Campus
Home Campus is the campus your child is enrolled in based on your attendance zone. This is also the campus your child would attend if you select In-Person learning. The E-Learning campus is a virtual campus.
-
E-Learning Teachers
If students move between In-Person and E-Learning throughout the year for qualifying reasons, their teacher will change. It would be similar to if a student moved from one In-Person campus to another during the school year. E-Learning teachers will remain E-Learning as long as there is a need in that grade level and vice versa. If a student moves between E-Learning and In-Person during the year, the campus registrars will communicate the change to the campus Counselors/Principals.
There is a possibility that students will not be taught by a grade-level teacher from their home campus but from another BISD campus. The BISD FAQ lets families know that “Boerne ISD teachers will provide E-learning instruction. Teachers will be identified once student enrollment numbers are established.”
