Mrs. Perales' Behavior Plan

  • Mrs. Perales’ Classroom Behavior Plan

In our classroom we will do several things to manage how our classroom runs daily.

    1. Classroom Social Contract-Our class at the beginning of the year will create a social contract together on how we want to be treated by other students and by the teacher. Each student and teacher will sign the contract and will follow the rules we created. We will work hard as a class family to hold each ther accountable.
    1. I-Messages-Whenever there is student conflict, we will work on understanding what cause the conflict. Students will give I-messages to other students who they feel have wronged them in some way. These messages allow each student to understand the feelings of others and take ownership for their actions.
    2. Marble Jar/Pom Pom Jar-We will have a marble jar for Mrs. Perales' Class and a Pom Pom jar for Mrs. Gomez's class.  Students can help fill their class jar  by doing several things. Ex: following directions, working hard, being respectful, getting compliments from others, and many more. When we fill the jar, we will celebrate as a class by having an extra recess, movie time, game time, etc…

         4. Positive Office Referrals-Each student will get the opportunity to earn a “Positive Office Referral”.  If they receive a referral, they will go to the office           for a special recognition.

         5. Parent Communication Folder-Each child will receive a green parent communication folder. These folders will go home every day and will need to           be returned to school the next day. These folders will have a monthly calendar in the back pocket.  If part of our social contract/classroom rules is               broken, a mark may be given on the calendar. If a mark is given, I ask that you please initial next to the comment and have a conversation                           about what happened in class that day. A phone call or email home may be necessary to address any specific concerns.

          6. Office Referral-as a last effort to address behavior, an office referral to see the principal may be given.
