Ms. Barbara Mayers

Barbara Mayers is beginning her 31st year as an educator. She received a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where she studied and earned a MS in Curriculum and Instruction. In 2010, Barbara studied library science at The University of North Texas where she received her MS in School Library and Information Studies. This school year marks her nineth year as a Dyslexia Specialist in Boerne ISD. She will work at Fair Oaks Ranch ES and Van Raub ES. Prior to teaching in Boerne, she was a middle school librarian and an elementary Reading Specialist in San Antonio.

Barbara enjoys spending time with her two adult children, traveling, reading and gardening.
