The vision of the Boerne ISD counseling team is to use a whole child, student centered, solution focused approach to counseling. We are committed to showing unconditional positive regard for every student, accepting students for who they are and always putting them first. We focus on helping to guide and equip students to find their own solutions and to develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed to reach their post-secondary goals.
Mrs. Collins is starting her 18th year in education. She taught for 9 years in 4th, 5th and 6th grades and has been a School Counselor for 8 years. She graduated from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2007 and a MS in Counseling in 2015. She is married with 2 daughters ages 19 and 26, and one son age 22. An interesting fact about her is that in addition to her dog Carmen, She also has a pet American Mini Pig - Ziggy the Piggy!
She is so excited to be part of the FORES team and looks forward to working with the amazing staff, students and families. Go Mustangs!
Mrs. Malin is excited to be joining the FORES family as a school counselor for the 24-25 school year. She will be splitting her time between FORES and another elementary campus. Before becoming a school counselor, she taught 2nd grade. She is a mother to three young children. Mrs. Malin has a passion for fostering positive development and supporting students' emotional well-being. She is looking forward to having a great year!
Mrs. Perez is excited to be a part of FORES as the Counselor’s Secretary for the 2024-2025 school year. Prior to becoming a Counselor’s Secretary, she previously taught at the high school and middle school levels. She is married and is a mother to a 26 year old daughter and a 21 year old son. Mrs. Perez enjoys watching movies, spending time with family and their dog, Eggsy.
She is excited to be at FORES and looks forward to a great school year!
