Hello! My name is Sami Jo Gillette and I am excited to serve as your Principal. I have been in education since 1997. I received both my bachelor's and my master's degree from Lamar University.

My family and I have been a part of the Boerne community since 2007. My husband, Michael teaches at Champion High School and coaches girls basketball and swimming. I am the proud mom of Samuel and Lauren who are both graduates of Boerne ISD. When not at school I love to hang out with my family and my two schnauzers.

Mrs. Juarez has been a school counselor for 17 years, counseling students from PreK through high school. Mrs. Juarez previously worked in Boerne ISD during the 2019-2020 school year. She then moved to Oregon during Covid to help her niece and nephew with their remote learning experience. She moved back to Texas in 2021 and had been working in Judson ISD until accepting the job as Counselor for CCES. She is so excited to be back in Boerne and to be a member of the Cub community!!

Mrs. Juarez earned her Bachelor's degree in English from Sonoma State University and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Chapman University in California. Mrs. Juarez has a passion for working with children and believes in the phrase, “Kindness Matters”.

Mrs. Juarez has three grown children and three amazing grandchildren. She recently married her husband, Jay, in March of 2023. They have two dogs together and spend most of their time hanging out and spoiling them!!

Ms. Gabrielle "Brie" Ortega is excited to be entering her eleventh year in education. She is so excited to begin this year as an instructional coach at Cibolo Creek Elementary! Ms. Ortega loves spending time with her son who is a sophomore at Champion (Go Chargers!) and her seven nieces and nephews. She loves enjoying time on the water whether it is paddleboarding, fishing, or swimming. She also loves to travel and is pursuing "50 before 50" visiting all 50 states before the age of 50. She has three states left! Ms. Ortega is so very grateful to be in Boerne and is looking forward to a fantastic year.
