About The Boerne Education Foundation
The Boerne Education Foundation is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization formed in 1997 to support every student, teacher, and school in the Boerne ISD, thereby creating exceptional schools. Each year, Boerne schools receive vital monies on a per capita basis for its students, and many teachers are awarded grants for materials to empower them to give our students an exemplary education. To date, BEF has distributed over $4 million to Boerne ISD schools.

In 1997, the Boerne Education Foundation, an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, philanthropic organization was formed to support public education in our community. Boerne ISD is a “Robinhood” school district, which means each year, millions of taxpayer dollars are redistributed to property-poor school districts across the state. BEF serves as the only major funding source outside of the district’s normal operating budget to help Boerne ISD fill this funding gap. BEF strives to ensure Boerne ISD teachers have the resources to provide a superior education for all Boerne ISD students.
