Boerne High School Junior, Sara West, competed with over 500 artworks at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Western Art Contest.
She placed in the top 16 and won a $4,000 scholarship.
Her painting, along with the other 15, will be exhibited at the Briscoe Western Art Museum throughout the month of January.
It will then move to the grounds of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo to be exhibited during the show, February 7 - 24, 2019.
