Kelly Rae

This is Kelly's 15th year of teaching at Boerne ISD, 12 years here at Boerne Middle School South.    Kelly spent the first 25 years of his career as a corporate manager and executive.  After the death of his father, he re-evaluated his priorities and decided to retire from the corporate world to spend more time with his family.  However, after a couple of years of aimlessly walking around the house and trying hobbies, his wife told him to go find a job.  After some reflection, Kelly decided that he wanted to give back to the greatest state and nation on the planet.  So, what better way, he thought, than to teach?  

Kelly began teaching STEM at Boerne High School his first year.  His second he taught Architecture and Construction at the ranch.  After that, he was tasked to take over the Manufacturing program at Boerne Middle School South upon the retirement of the teacher there.  Kelly has enjoyed teaching at Boerne Middle School South and is looking forward to a great 2023-2024.  Kelly enjoys fishing, hunting, and space travel on his time off.
